The Story So Far

Hackney's first Hearing Wellness Festival • March 2025

After a series of pilot events since 2022 in partnership with Sofar Sounds, in March 2025 we proudly launched Hackney's first Hearing Wellness Festival - a groundbreaking celebration that proved audio inclusivity can be both accessible and extraordinary.

From healing gong baths to immersive sensory workshops, intimate acoustic sets to innovative sound and taste pairings, we reimagined how we engage with sound, connection, and community.

The response was overwhelming. Not just from our noise-sensitive community, but from everyone who experienced what thoughtful sound design can create: deeper connection, richer experiences, and genuine belonging.

Why This Matters

30%

of people avoid spaces and experiences due to overwhelming sound environments. Meanwhile, the options that do exist for noise-sensitive communities often compromise on the quality of the experience itself.

We refuse to accept that compromise.

Our experiences prove that audio inclusivity enhances creativity, deepens connection, and creates space for everyone to thrive. When you design for the most sensitive, you create magic for all.

Join the Movement

Whether you're noise-sensitive yourself, support someone who is, or simply believe that great experiences should be accessible to everyone - you belong here.

This is more than entertainment.
It's advocacy through joy.

Sownd Experiences is part of Sownd Affects' mission to make audio inclusivity the new standard across all spaces and experiences. When we prove it can be done beautifully in entertainment, we change expectations everywhere.
